about the owner
Brian Hammond is a successful agronomist with more than 25 years of experience. His professional background consists of various positions held at prestigious golf clubs across the US as well as experience managing world-class polo fields overseas.
He started out as a caddy at the prestigious Maidstone Club in New York at the young age of 12 and instantly fell in love with the sport and the beautiful greens. Growing up on a dairy farm in upstate in New York, the appreciation and cultivation of agriculture was in his blood. Brian’s love of the sport and his upbringing was the perfect fit for a successful career in turf management and agronomics. He is passionate about what he does and always works to do his best, recently achieving the world-renowned CGCS certification with GCSAA.
Brian’s educational background consists of a Bachelor of Science degree in Golf & Facilities Management from Arizona State University, one of the top schools for agronomic sciences in the United States. This degree launched his management career in turf, allowing Brian to move into Assistant Golf Course Superintendent positions at high-caliber clubs across the western US and then ultimately catapulted his career into senior management when he was recruited to construct and develop world-class polo fields in China.
His present role is as a Certified Golf Course Superintendent at a prestigious private golf course in Phoenix. Which Brian’s prior experience in aquatic lake maintenance at a 36-hole golf resort in California allowed him to become an expert at lake and pond management, allowing him to take this function in house out-performing his current club’s external provider and ultimately providing the pathway for Brian to launch his own firm, Hammond Agronomy LLC.
Brian understands that attention to detail and excellence are required to deliver pristine waters and as such his results consistently exceed expectations. He is honest and trustworthy, dedicated and hardworking.
